Your application is more likely to be successful if you have regard to the main areas of interest to the trustees:
- The trustees wish to consider applications where the grant will make a real difference to the community, and where appropriate it must be sustainable. In other words, we expect you to have a plan for the future.
- The trustees see their contribution as part of an overall funding strategy for the project requirements.
- Your organisation need not be based in Yorkshire but the project itself must benefit the Yorkshire community.
- Our minimum grant is £1000, and the Trustees are more likely to fund grants where the sum requested does not exceed £15,000 per annum for each successful application. In exceptional circumstances we would consider exceeding this limit.
- Requests may come from existing or new organisations for one off grants or continuing grants for up to 3 years, which may fund capital and revenue expenditure.
- Special Projects for 2009:
- Access to sports facilities for all, but with an emphasis on younger people who may wish to be involved in the London Olympics 2012, by enhancing extra curricular activities in partnership with Yorkshire schools.
