Your application is more likely to be successful if you take note of the following points:
- The Trustees prefer to see that the grant given is part of an overall funding strategy for the project requirements.
- It will help your application if you detail other current funding applications, successful or not, for the project in need.
- Your organisation need not be based in Yorkshire but the project itself must directly benefit the Yorkshire community and ideally be embedded in the community.
- Our minimum grant is £1,000 and typically we fund projects up to £5,000 per annum for 3 years, or up to £7,000 as a one off grant, but in exceptional circumstances grants will be considered for more than this.
- Applications may come from existing or new organisations for one off grants or continuing grants for up to 3 years, which may fund smaller capital projects or core expenditure. Note that when applying for a grant, re-applications from existing Grantees should not be submitted until 12 months after the end of the grant period.
- The Trust will consider a grant application for a project which complements rather than replaces statutory funding.
